Multisite is a WordPress feature, which allows users to create many sites on a single WordPress installation. Most importantly, each site comprising the network may have the same plugins and themes, but the websites will not have the capability to share the uploaded files.
Websites comprising the Website Catalogue network are divided into subfolders, for instance:
